Be a Friend

What do "Friends" do?

"Friends" support the preservation and maintenance of the Gardens through their annual Friends' renewal.

As a new Friend you can volunteer anytime at fund-raising events, advocating for the Gardens by providing educational presentations to community groups, becoming a docent for tours and yes, by getting our hands dirty with occasional work parties in the gardens. Friends receive updates on events and fundraisers, and an annual Friend renewal reminder.

Did You Know?

The Gardens are within property owned by the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department. The Friends depend upon your support and our community partners to help fund the ongoing maintenance projects, including for example:

  • Rock staircase and wall repair in the Gardens

  • Pergola and pond repair

  • Tea House paint

  • D.C. Corbin House roofing and exterior paint

Mission Statement

Kerria

The Friends of the Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens support the ongoing maintenance of the Gardens and the historic D.C. Corbin House through education, on-site volunteer programs and community outreach in cooperation with the Spokane Department of Parks and Recreation.
